In today's world this pain is seen in all the age types because it can happen because of any reason.
Pain can be at a particular place which is mostly caused by muscle tightness.
The pain can also be generalized ie at a wider area this can be due to group of muscles being stressed, these kind of pain are known as Refered Pain.
Some pain are due to nerve impingement, where the nerve is being irritated because of muscle tightness (therefore blocking the nerve) or due to any bony hindrance.
Easy way to Examine -
Patient is complaining pain in flexion Then, We will treat by extention regime.
Patient is complaining pain while extention of the lower back..then immediately ask for the MRI investigation and if the disc is being protruded then forward the case to a good surgeon.
Some Precautions can be suggested to the patient--
1)Do not bend your back to pull something very heavy that would increase the stress at your lower back.
2)Do not ever keep your wallet or any gadget at your back pocket of your jeans.
3)If the pain is increasing day after day then by wearing a supportive belt round your back can be suggested.
4) Do not over-exagurate yourself for any work.
Treatment ---
1) hot water bag should be put for 5 min at your lower back before any exercise so that the muscles can get relaxed.
2) For Extention Regime -cobra pose
-Single leg back extention (one by one with both the legs)
-Ball back Extention
Flexion Regime (only when in MRI no disc protrusion is seen)
-Knee to chest(single and double)
-Bridging exercise
-patial sit ups
-hamstring stretch (SLR)
-Modified SLR
- squatting
-heel dig
-side clamp
3) spinal manipulation
4) Abdominal muscle strengthing
5) Glutes tightness(one by one)
6)piriformis stretch
