PLANTAR FASCIITIS Plantar fasciitis also known as Policeman's heel. One of the most common cause of pain in heel It is an inflammation of tissue or a ligament that connects heel to the foot. It is the inflammation occur ,when the tissue or fascia is overused or stretched. The inflammation usually occur on one foot . As the condition is mainly unilateral. Its rarely seen in both side. Pain usually increases when a person put pressure .Some problems or conditions can cause plantar fasciitis like Flat foot. SYMPTOMS: Pain in heel Swelling Pain in walking , jumping , running Hyperextension of foot MANAGEMENT: This condition can be easily rule out by a physiotherapist. There is surgical and conservative management both. CONSERVATIVE MANAGEMENT Rest Icing - If condition is acute do icing.
